3R Tiles designs and manufactures innovative metal architectural tiles for exterior walls and roofs. These products offer great freedom of creation for architects who select them for modern and signature projects. 3R Tiles also stands out for their high level of customer service.

The company is growing rapidly and is looking for a Business Development Agent. Business development activities focus mainly on architects.

Objective

Our priority is to raise awareness of 3R Tiles among the most influential Canadian architectural firms. We are first targeting Montreal firms, which are among the most creative in the country and we are also actively working on becoming known among similar firms in the Toronto area.

Position

This is a part-time position – 3 days a week – which could lead to a full-time position in 2019. The position will be based in the new 3R Tiles office in Sherbrooke.

The candidate will be responsible for the following tasks, among others:

  • Taking calls from architects and general contractors, as well as answering technical questions which may rise on 3R Tiles products and services.
  • Soliciting architect’s offices to schedule appointments for presentations.
  • Project follow-ups with architects to make sure the specifications are satisfactory.
  • Collaborating with company management in the preparation of quotes for contractors and installers who must provide the tiles specified by the architects.
  • Project follow-ups with architects, general contractors and installers to ensure they receive assistance from 3R Tiles for the design, project management and construction processes.
  • Support for general contractors and installers as needed.
  • Documenting all exchanges with the architects as well as the development of opportunities in customer management software and the company’s project management.
  • Sharing in administrative tasks with the 3R Tiles team.

Skills and experience

  • Bilingualism
  • Comfortable with using office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and willing to learn new information technologies
  • Construction experience and knowledge of building envelope systems would be an asset. The ability and wish to learn would be even more important assets

Academic qualifications

  • College diploma or university degree
